Who we are
Dan, who grew up in Bedfordshire, started his riding career at 12 years old. His parents, worried about the area Dan was growing up in, encouraged him to devote his time to riding horses. His introduction began through riding for a local dealer and then onto buying and selling ponies himself. After trying all the disciplines, Dan knew his passion laid in show jumping, particularly in educating and producing young horses. At 22 years old, Dan decided to further his education by taking a job working for Steven Whitaker. During his two years with him, he broke in and produced around 50 young horses, some of which have gone on to be at the very top of the sport. He then took all he’d learnt into his own set up and continued to ride and produce horses for owners for six years. During this time Dan competed up to 4* level, including jumping the famous Hickstead Speed Derby. After breaking his neck, for the second time, he took a break from riding. Five years later he decided to start again and has continued his passion working with young and quirky horses.
Tia grew up riding horses. At the age of two she was first sat on a pony by her mum and she never looked back. She started off on Shetland ponies at a local riding school close to home in Hertfordshire, she owned her first pony at seven years of age. Tia began her competition journey in the showing ring, before she caught the show jumping bug. After a couple of years on her 12.2 pony she moved on to 14.2’s and jumped up to pony foxhunter classes. Her career on horses began at the age of 17 and she continued this whilst juggling her education plans to become a clinical psychologist. At the age of 24 Tia jumped her first 1.30 classes on her trusty full Irish Draft, Frankie. Then COVID hit and competition stopped, she took this time to further herself in her education and worked through the pandemic in the NHS. In 2023, sadly, Tia’s father passed away unexpectedly. She was driven to follow in his footsteps of creating a successful brand in something she felt passionate about. So, with her Clinical Psychology Doctorate in hand she choose to follow her dream and pursue her riding ambitions full time. Fast forward to present, she has a string of exciting horses and has made riding her career.
Now represented by an Equestrian Management Agent, Dan and Tia hope to continue to expand their reach into the equestrian world and continue to grow their brand and show case their talent.
